What age groups do you enrol?

We enrol students starting from 5.5 years old and continue to welcome adult learners of all ages.

Who are our students?

Our students are primarily non-Mandarin speakers from diverse ethnic backgrounds and cultures. Their main focus in learning is on speaking, listening, and writing pinyin (romanised Chinese).

Do you offer a free trial class?

Yes, we offer a free trial for group classes. For private classes, if students request for a trial class, this will need to be paid before enrolling in the course.

How do I enrol my child or myself in a class?

What teaching methods do you use?

Our teaching methods are tailored for second language learners, focusing on practical communication, cultural engagement, and interactive learning. We use activities such as videos, dialogues, games and other mediums to support our students’ learning. We work with our students to maximise their learning journey.

Can I switch from a group class to a private class or switch from a private class to a group class?

Yes, you can switch between class types. Please contact us to discuss the details.

What materials do I need for the classes?

We provide most of the learning materials, including worksheets and access to online resources. Students may need to bring a notebook and writing tools.

How are the classes structured?

Our classes are structured around practical communication skills, with a mix of speaking and listening. Our philosophy focuses on Revision, Repetition and Retention (the 3Rs!). We cover practical and daily topics such as weather, dates, time, classroom expressions, drinks, sports and many more.

Do you offer online classes?

Yes, we offer both private and group online classes to accommodate different learning preferences. These classes are usually held in the week evenings. We also provide in-person classes for children on Saturdays in Epsom. 

What language is used for instruction in your classes?

Our classes are taught in English, while the content is delivered in Mandarin. We use Mandarin expressions throughout the lessons to immerse students in a Mandarin-speaking environment.

Our tutors are from diverse backgrounds with proficient Mandarin language skills. You’ll be in great hands with our dedicated tutors, who are eager to support you along the way on your Mandarin learning journey
